John McEnroe Slings Ceremonial 1st Pitch with Serious Heat

Arm strength never dies—at least not for John McEnroe.

While tossing out (or rather, slinging) the ceremonial first pitch ahead of Monday night's Mets vs. Yankees matchup, the tennis legend called upon his former volleying prowess to serve up a ball with some serious heat.

Armed with a clean custom jersey, solid windup and sensational celebratory hop, McEnroe was nearly guaranteed an exceptional effort. 

Perhaps the confident tip of the cap while stepping onto the mound should have been the ultimate clue.
