Just ask Victor Martinez. 

After knocking a single off the right field wall and reaching first base, the Detroit Tigers' designated hitter gave Houston Astros first baseman Marwin Gonzalez a small smooch on the neck. 

But a Lance Stephenson-type tactic it did not appear to be.

In fact, his opponent may have even initiated the sociable mid-competition moment by giving V-Mart a friendly nudge to the helmet. 

Sportsmanship may have officially reached new heights.
