
Antonio Cromartie Agrees to Terms with Colts
Cornerback Antonio Cromartie signed a contract with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, the team announced.
Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star, citing an NFL source, reported earlier on Monday Indianapolis would be meeting with Cromartie, among other defensive backs.
Cromartie disputed a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com from July 25 that suggested "lingering hip concerns" may prevent the veteran cornerback from playing football again.

Cromartie, 32, appeared in 15 games for the New York Jets last season, notching 29 tackles and one fumble recovery. For the first time since his rookie season in 2006, he failed to register an interception. Pro Football Focus ranked him 103rd out of 118 NFL cornerbacks last season (h/t Dan Hanzus of NFL.com), and the Jets cut him in the offseason after his poor campaign.
Cromartie is a four-time Pro Bowler and was an Associated Press All-NFL first-team selection in 2007, so he has a strong resume. But in two of his last three seasons, he wasn't ranked among the top 100 cornerbacks by Pro Football Focus (h/t
