Young Pirates Fan Displays the Highs and Lows of 18-Inning Win

Extra innings are not for the faint of heart.

During the Pittsburgh Pirates’ 18-inning 2-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Sunday, this young Pirates fan exhibited the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

He yelled, slammed his cap in anger and nearly cried after Daniel Murphy tied the game with a solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning.

But when Starling Marte hit a game-winning dinger in the top of the 18th, the Pittsburgh fan shed tears of joy.

Or exhaustion. Either one.
