Controversial calls have a place in the NBA Summer League, too.
The Minnesota Timberwolves eliminated the Toronto Raptors in Saturday's Las Vegas quarterfinal matchup on a questionable foul call.
Second-year guard Tyus Jones pulled up to take a contested shot after the Timberwolves inbounded the ball with the game tied at 79 and just 1.1 seconds left on the clock. He missed, but it still didn't go to overtime because a foul was called on Yanick Moreira.
