Yan Gomes is in a bit of a slump.
Well aware of the catcher's .163 performance at the plate, the Cleveland Indians decided to take fate into their own hands Saturday. Their remedy? A sacrifice to the baseball gods.
Jason Kipnis, Mike Napoli, Lonnie Chisenhall and Chris Gimenez pulled together a surprisingly thorough faux ceremony, complete with a makeshift altar and whole chicken.
