Dunn Entering NBA's Concussion Protocol

Timberwolves PR on Twitter relayed the update before tipoff.

Selected fifth overall by the Timberwolves in the June 23 draft, Dunn has been arguably the most impressive first-year player in Sin City through two games.

After dropping 27 points on the Denver Nuggets in his first action of the summer, Dunn stuffed the stat sheet to the tune of 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists in an 82-80 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

With the former Providence Friars floor general sidelined, the Timberwolves will need to turn to less explosive, albeit capable, alternatives for upcoming summer-league showdowns.

Duke product and 2015 first-round pick Tyus Jones has the vision necessary to carry the load in the interim, and Toure' Murry can also assume a primary ball-handling role.

Jones has impressed thus far with 12 points and 10 rebounds against the Nuggets and 18 points versus the Raptors.
