Bald Eagle Soars Out of Dodger Stadium During July 4th Pregame Celebration
Already 240 years ago today, the United States of America's Founding Fathers declared certain truths to be self-evident.
These included the belief that all men are created equal, that they are endowed with certain unalienable rights...
...and most importantly, that all bald eagles are born to be free.

One national bird in particular exercised such a right while partaking in a Fourth of July pregrame celebration at Dodger Stadium on Monday afternoon.
High above the stands he soared, relishing the open air. So much so, in fact, that he chose to disregard his handler and exit the venue altogether.
But the liberty was short-lived.
Like any model citizen, the eagle acquiesced to authority—hopefully receiving a lenient sentence (given the significance of the day).
Regardless, there's little doubt his majestic flight left many inspired. Sorry, Benjamin Franklin, but a turkey simply wouldn't be able to do that.
