After most teams in the league added a key piece or two to their prospect pools Friday, franchises will convene once more in Buffalo, New York, on Saturday to complete their 2016 NHL draft classes.
Some teams became considerably better after Friday's first round, but championship teams are built with depth. Day 2 is best chance to secure a club's supporting cast, while star players could also emerge and defy expectations.
Here is a look at the schedule and selection order for the remainder of the draft, along with a look back on who made out the best on Friday.

Detroit Red Wings
Starting the day with the No. 16 pick, the Detroit Red Wings sat in a precarious position where no surefire impact players would likely be available.
The 2016 class is deep, but after the top 10 to 12 players, there is not much separating the next tier of prospects. The Red Wings made the most of this situation.
Instead of settling for a player at 16th overall, the team dramatically improved its fortunes. Detroit swapped first-round picks with the Arizona Coyotes, at No. 20, dealing the contract of the retiring Pavel Datsyuk for checking winger Joe Vitale and a second-round pick in the 2016 draft.
The Red Wings then took Dennis Cholowski with their first-round pick.
Datsyuk carried a $7.5 million cap hit for next season, and Detroit arguably won out on the deal considering the return. TSN's James Mirtle praised Detroit general manager Ken Holland in contrast to Arizona's first-year general manager, John Chayka:
The cap space created could also allow the Red Wings to make some big moves this offseason, per TSN's Darren Dreger:
The Red Wings have not made 25 straight postseasons by accident, and this shrewd dealing is an example why. Detroit picked up a solid prospect, shed Datsyuk's contract and can make a serious run at Steven Stamkos. Friday was a great night for Hockeytown.
Philadelphia Flyers
Quietly, the Philadelphia Flyers are building a contending roster.
The team already has established stars in Claude Giroux, Wayne Simmonds and Jakub Voracek. With a phenomenal prospect pool, the Flyers could become mainstays in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Philadelphia was in a similar position as Detroit at No. 18, but it was also able trade back to 22nd overall while swapping a second-round pick with a third-rounder. With that selection, the team got a strong two-way center in German Rubtsov who could contribute behind Giroux.
ESPN's Corey Pronman applauded the pick:
The team already has Sean Couturier at center and defensemen Shayne Gostisbehere, Ivan Provorov and Travis Sanheim locking down the future of the defensive core. If the Flyers can find an upgrade in net, they could be a force in two or three years.
