Fantasy Football Week Four Start N' Sit For Success
We’re almost a quarter of the way into the season and that means guys are getting banged up, the teams are separating themselves, and certain fantasy players are leaving you cursing their names.
For Week Four I am focusing more on the start side of things. For three weeks now I have said sit Cedric Benson (who is a great start this week), and I am tired of being wrong!
After reading about the stars, starters, and sleepers you need in your lineup be sure to watch my fantasy football YouTube video and my complete NFL Week Four Preview to help your Pick’Em league.
Stars
Start: Clinton Portis vs. Tampa Bay
After missing the end of the game due to a calf injury Portis is carrying some serious injury concern so it is a MUST that you follow his injury reports. If Portis is feeling good enough to go he deserves a spot in your starting lineup against the sad Bucs run D.

Colts Release Kenny Moore
LoStradamus prediction: 110 total yards and one TD.
Start: Joseph Addai vs. Seattle
A banged-up Seahawks D did a good job against Matt Forte last week, but that was after getting embarrassed by Frank Gore. With their focus on stopping Peyton Manning, the backs should be able to get the first step in the run game.
LoStradamus prediction: 120 total yards and one TD.
Start: Braylon Edwards vs. Cincinnati
The QB situation in Cleveland may scare you, but both guys have thrown TD passes to Edwards in the past. And entering the fourth game of the year he is primed for a score. Edwards has never failed to score in his first four games of the season and the Bengals pass D is nothing to brag about.
LoStradamus prediction: 85 yards and one TD.
Starter
Start: Julius Jones vs. Indianapolis
Just as the Seahawks D is banged up, so is the Colts. And the Hawks are doing a good job of moving the ball on the ground in 2009. With a committed rushing attack Jones looks like a very nice play against a suffering run D.
LoStradamus prediction: 100 total yards and one TD.
Start: Devin Hester vs. Detroit
The Lions really struggle with speed receivers, and Hester is one of the five most dangerous players in space. The hype is with Johnny Knox right now, but Hester is still too explosive not to get the ball to.
LoStradamus prediction: 85 total yards and one TD.
Sit: Fred Taylor vs. Baltimore
The last time Taylor played Baltimore was 2003, so while he has good career numbers against them they aren't that relevant for the 33-year-old back coming off a 105 yard outing.
Through Baltimore's first three games the D has allowed 153 rushing yards, zero TDs, and only seven rushing first downs on 61 attempts.
LoStradamus prediction: 50 total yards.
Sleeper
Start: Glen Coffee vs. St. Louis
The stars are aligning for Glen Coffee to have a great first start in his rookie season. The Rams are 27th against the rush and the Niners don't have many other options on O.
LoStradamus prediction: 110 total yards and one TD.
Start: Donald Brown vs. Seattle
Through three weeks Brown has been one of the NFL's most electric runners and he seems like a ticking time bomb. The Colts should amass plenty of yards from their backfield both on the ground and through the air, making Brown a very strong play.
LoStradamus prediction: 75 total yards and one TD.
