Wilkerson Has Emerged as Essential Piece to Jets D
The Jets will likely use Jarvis Jenkins as their primary left defensive end with Wilkerson out. Now in his sixth season out of Temple, Wilkerson made his first Pro Bowl and second All-Pro team in 2015. He had 64 tackles and set a career high with 12 sacks as part of a resurgent front seven that led New York to 10 wins.
Prior to the injury, Wilkerson notched 21 total tackles, 1.5 sacks and zero forced fumbles while posting three passes defended and four run stops.
