Neymar Takes Batting Practice at Citi Field Before Mets Game, Struggles Mightily

FC Barcelona forward Neymar is a soccer star.

Baseball? Not so much.

The 24-year-old Brazilian took some cuts in a Citi Field batting cage before Tuesday's New York Mets-Chicago White Sox game.

Compared to what we're used to seeing from Neymar, it wasn't pretty.

"Very difficult for me," Neymar said through a translator, per Andrew Beaton of the Wall Street Journal. Beaton added that Neymar doesn't know much about baseball and was just beginning to learn about it.

It wasn't long before he reverted to his usual craft:

Let him stay in the cage long enough, and Neymar will be roping balls in no time.
