The San Jose Sharks rebounded from a tough Game 4 loss to the St. Louis Blues with a 6-3 victory in Game 5 on Monday at the Scottrade Center.
San Jose used four unanswered goals, two of which came from Joe Pavelski, to distance itself from the Blues in the best-of-seven series.

Draft Lottery Winners and Losers
A furious pace in the first period produced three tallies, with the final two coming from the Blues. Jaden Schwartz and Troy Brouwer found the back of the net for the Blues after Marc-Edouard Vlasic opened the scoring for the visitors.
Joel Ward leveled the contest at two goals on the power play four minutes and 37 seconds into the second period. Robby Fabbri provided the answer for St. Louis with a blast from the top of the attacking zone midway through the second.
San Jose grabbed the momentum late in the second as Pavelski equalized the game on the power play. Pavelski struck for his 12th postseason goal 16 seconds into the third to hand the Sharks the lead once again.
Chris Tierney and Ward added empty-net goals at the end of regulation to extend the San Jose advantage to two and three tallies, respectively.
The Sharks and Blues will meet again on Wednesday in Game 6 at the SAP Center in San Jose.
