Lamarr Houston Says Aaron Rodgers Is 'A Little Too Arrogant'
Aaron Rodgers is many things. He's the star quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. He's a Super Bowl champion. He's a five-time Pro Bowler and a two-time MVP.
And according to Chicago Bears linebacker Lamarr Houston, he's arrogant.
"He's a little arrogant for me. He's a little too arrogant," Houston said Monday on SportsNation (via Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com). "He's a cheesehead. I'm a Bear. He's a cheesehead. But I have a lot of respect for his game; I will say that. He's a great quarterback. As a player, I have a lot of respect for him...but the whole championship belt thing kind of gets on my nerves."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It wasn't the first time Houston expressed a negative opinion about Rodgers.
"I didn't really look at him after [the sack], because I don't give two flying [expletive] about him," he said, per Dickerson, after the Bears beat the Packers on Thanksgiving during the 2015 season. "I really don't like that guy."
Houston recorded a sack, a fumble recovery and seven tackles in that contest.
As Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk noted, however, "Houston might not be the best one to talk about the way other players celebrate, considering that he once suffered a season-ending knee injury while celebrating a sack late in the fourth quarter of a blowout loss."
But hey, every rivalry benefits from some trash talk. And Houston's feelings about Rodgers are probably amplified by the fact that in his two seasons with the Bears, Chicago is 1-3 against Green Bay.
It could be argued that Rodgers has earned the right to be a bit cocky.
He's led the Packers to seven straight postseason appearances, including a title in the 2010 season, and finished last year with 3,821 passing yards, 31 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. Given that he's thrown for over 4,000 yards five times and for 38 or more touchdowns three times, 2015 was a slight down year for Rodgers.
Most quarterbacks would gladly take those numbers. And Rodgers posted them without his top receiver, Jordy Nelson, who was out for the season with a torn ACL. So there's that to consider as well.
Houston appears to have carved out a niche for himself in Chicago, registering a career-high eight sacks last year while adding 42 tackles and a fumble recovery. Nonetheless, he'll likely have to compete for playing time with first-round pick Leonard Floyd (No. 9 overall) and veteran Willie Young opposite of Pernell McPhee.
The Bears will visit Lambeau Field to face the Packers on Thursday, Oct. 20, in Week 7 of the 2016 season. Green Bay plays in Chicago on Dec. 18 in Week 15.
