Steelers Reserves: Tomlin Would Rather Have the Beer
Unlike the the malt liquor that closely resembles their name, some reserves on the Pittsburgh Steelers are feeling the heat from head coach Mike Tomlin.
Delicious.
"(Limas) Sweed dropped a touchdown pass in the Steelers’ 23-20 loss to the Bengals last Sunday. When asked if he’ll consider moving Shaun McDonald, who has been inactive for two of the Steelers’ first three games, ahead of Sweed, Tomlin said, “Absolutely.”
In addition to Sweed, Tomlin also addressed the situation with running back Rashard Mendenhall, who did not play on offense last Sunday because of a subpar week of practice leading up to the game
Tomlin said he made his point to Mendenhall and that he is moving forward.
“He is not in the doghouse,” Tomlin said of Mendenhall. “A doghouse is something you have when you let things stew...I tend to take action and I’m done with it.”
