Blues vs. Stars: Game 1 Live Score, Highlights for 2016 NHL Playoffs
The Dallas Stars have drawn first blood in their Stanley Cup playoff series against the St. Louis Blues, thanks to a 2-1 win in Game 1 at American Airlines Center.
Radek Faksa scored the game-winner with 4:44 to play in the third period, less than four minutes after the Blues had tied the game at 1-1 on a goal from Kevin Shattenkirk.
Both teams came into the series following emotional first-round series wins, so Game 1 was a bit muted by comparison. But team captains Jamie Benn of Dallas and David Backes of St. Louis went after each other in the first period and the game showed a promising physical edge that will likely become more prominent as the series progresses.
