FC Barcelona-Dynamo Kiev: Champions League Game Recap
In their first Champions League match at the Camp Nou since winning the Champions League title in May, FC Barcelona hosted Dynamo Kiev in one of the biggest matches of Matchday 2 of the Champions League.
In their first Champions League match of the new season, Barcelona went to the San Siro in Milan and left after a scoreless draw with Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, Dynamo Kiev won 3-1 over Rubin Kazan on the strength of three late goals at home during Matchday 1.

Tuesday's matchup, therefore, appeared to be a great one between two sides looking to advance onto the knockout stage of the Champions League.
Early on in the match, the teams exchanged chances in each other's end. But as the game passed the 10-minute mark, Barcelona started to gain more possession and take more chances on the Dynamo Kiev goal.
In the 25th minute, Barcelona finally got their breakthrough, as Lionel Messi took a shot from the right-hand side that landed in the far bottom corner of the net, giving Barcelona a 1-0 lead.
After getting the lead, Barcelona continued to get great scoring opportunities. But Dynamo Kiev keeper Oleksandr Shovkovskiy was equal to the challenges and was able to keep Dynamo Kiev in the match as halftime approached.
Right before halftime, Dynamo Kiev got their best chance of the entire game and beat Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes to tie the match 1-1, but the goal was disallowed due to an infringement on the play.
Barcelona led Dynamo Kiev 1-0 at halftime.
As the second half begun, Barcelona's attack became even more potent. But a combination of Shovkovskiy and missed Barcelona shots kept the ball out of Dynamo Kiev's net.
But in the 76th minute, Pedro received a pass from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and was able to put the ball past Shovkovskiy into the bottom left corner of the net.
After the goal, the fate of the match was sealed in favor of Barcelona, who won 2-0.
With the win, Barcelona now has four points in Group F, enough to give them the group lead.
Dynamo Kiev now slips to second with three points.
Barcelona will play their next Champions League match on October 20 again at the Camp Nou when they face Rubin Kazan, who drew 1-1 with Inter Milan during Matchday 2.
Dynamo Kiev will head to the San Siro in Milan to face Inter on October 20.
