Jared Goff to Rams: Twitter Reacts as QB Is Selected in 2016 NFL Draft

Two weeks after trading up for the No. 1 pick, the Los Angeles Rams officially made California's Jared Goff their quarterback of the future by choosing him with the top selection in the 2016 NFL draft on Thursday night in Chicago.   

Now that the suspense of which quarterback the Rams would take is over, many NFL fans posted their reactions on Twitter.

In fairness to Goff, he wasn't surrounded by great talent, and he did lead the program to eight wins in his final season.

This year's quarterback class is not considered deep. Goff and North Dakota State's Carson Wentz are the only consensus first-round talents. Goff shone at Cal in 2015, throwing for 4,714 yards and 43 touchdowns, which gave him great momentum leading into the predraft process. 

The Rams identified Goff as the right man for their system after seeing him work out, made the big trade with the Tennessee Titans to ensure they would land him and made it official Thursday.
