Indiana Pacers vs. Toronto Raptors: Live Score, Analysis for Game 5

Jared JohnsonApr 26, 2016

The Toronto Raptors pulled out a 102-99 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series Tuesday night, battling back from a 17-point deficit and withstanding a three-point basket by Solomon Hill that was called off for being released just after the final buzzer. Toronto now leads the series 3-2.

Indiana looked to be in control most of the game, as the team was moving the ball well and hitting on its outside shots. As the case has been throughout the series, Paul George was the Pacers' best player and had an efficient 37 points through three quarters.

However, the Raptors tightened up their defense near the end of the third quarter, and they also started hitting their outside shots after failing to do so consistently for the rest of the contest. Toronto turned a 90-75 deficit late in the third quarter into a 98-92 lead with less than three minutes remaining.

Overall, George ended up with 39 points after scoring just two points in the final frame. DeMar DeRozan broke loose for 34 points for the Raptors, and Bismack Biyombo had a big double-double of 10 points and 16 rebounds in just 24 minutes of action.

The series returns to Indianapolis on Friday for Game 6, where the Pacers will try to stay alive and the Raptors will try to close out the series.
