TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open 2016: Monday Tennis Scores and Updated Schedule
Albert Ramos-Vinolas was the only seeded player to take to the court during Monday's TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open action, beating France's Adrian Mannarino in two sets, 7-5, 6-1, to book his spot in the next round.
The 28-year-old needed some time to find his best play, allowing Mannarino to hang with him in the first set, but he dominated in the return game in the second set and was rarely troubled.
Top-seeded players Bernard Tomic, Ivo Karlovic and Grigor Dimitrov will enter the tournament in the next round. Here’s a look at Monday’s results:
| Diego Schwartzman bt. Facundo Bagnis | 6-1, 6-4 |
| Dudi Sela bt. (Q) Andrey Rublev | 6-3, 6-2 |

Recap
Ramos-Vinolas looked shaky in the return game during his first set of the Istanbul Open, winning just 15 percent of points on Mannarino's first serve and allowing the Frenchman far too much time to step into the court.
In the rallies, the favourite had the advantage, but Mannarino did a fine job avoiding lengthy back-and-forths. He faced a lot of pressure on his second serve and had to defend no less than nine break points, giving up two breaks and the opening set.

Ramos-Vinolas showed his class in the second set, grabbing two quick breaks, as he started finding the range on his returns. Aiming for Mannarino's legs, he forced his opponent to set up behind the baseline, and in the rallies, he easily got the upper hand.

Qualifier Adrian Ungur caused the biggest shock of the day, cruising to an easy 6-3, 6-3 win over Filip Krajinovic. Ungur dominated his opponent in the return game, taking over 50 percent of the points on Krajinovic’s first serve and breaking six times.
Ungur will meet second-seeded Dimitrov in the next round. The Bulgarian made the semi-finals of the tournament last year before losing to Pablo Cuevas in shocking fashion, but he’s expected to do better against a field lacking top-quality competition.

Tomic enters the tournament as the top seed, but the Australian is still looking for his clay form ahead of the upcoming French Open. A disappointing loss against Robin Haase in Bucharest freed him up to take part in the tournament in Istanbul, and he desperately needs to play sets to rediscover his stroke.
He’ll play Diego Schwartzman in the next round. The 23-year-old clay specialist cruised to a win over compatriot Facundo Bagnis in a little over 70 minutes and already has wins over the likes of Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Pablo Andujar under his belt, and he’ll like his chances of pulling off another upset.
