Panthers vs. Islanders: Game 6 Live Score, Highlights from 2016 NHL Playoffs
New York 2, Florida 1 (Final/2OT) (New York wins series 4-2)
John Tavares did not make a massive impact on Game 6 between the New York Islanders and Florida Panthers on Sunday until the final minute of the third period.
But when the Islanders captain found a clear path to the goal, he provided the home team with two goals to clinch the franchise's first playoff series victory since 1993.

Florida held the lead for most of the game after Jonathan Huberdeau scored late in the first period, but just as the Panthers were ready to celebrate a trip back home for Game 7, Tavares struck for the equalizer.
With 53 seconds remaining in the third period, Tavares picked up a loose puck alongside the body of Florida goalie Roberto Luongo and handed the Islanders new life in front of their home fans at the Barclays Center.
A furious first overtime period made way for a second overtime that saw few significant chances challenge either goalie.
In the 11th minute of the second overtime period, Tavares' shot was saved by Luongo at the right post before he took the rebound behind the net and scored from the left side of the crease.
The Islanders will face the Tampa Bay Lightning in one of two Eastern Conference semifinal series.
