Joseph Randle Bond Changes Denied by Judge
Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has had his request for modified bond conditions denied by a judge in Sedgwick County.
Per Amy Renee Leiker of the Wichita Eagle, Randle's attorney, James Crawford, was seeking to have some of the wording in his client's bond conditions changed so Randle could "be released directly to family instead of to the NFL Players Association and the football league’s security."
NFL lawyers said the league did not "want to be liable for transporting Randle to an inpatient mental treatment facility if he bails out of jail." He's currently being held on $150,000 bond.

Leiker reported last month that Randle could be released to an inpatient facility so that his mental health could be evaluated by doctors after he was arrested for failing to show up at a hearing at Sedgwick County District Court.
Per Leiker's latest report, Crawford made the request to have Randle's bond changed because NFL lawyers wanted to make sure the league was "not somehow made a party to these criminal allegations" stemming from two cases against Randle.
The 24-year-old Randle has had multiple run-ins with the law over the last two years, including hitting three people with a car and breaking into a home in February.
A fifth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2013, Randle played parts of three seasons with the team. After a lack of production on the field and a string of off-the-field issues that included an arrest for shoplifting underwear and cologne from a Dillard's store, Randle was ultimately released in November 2015.
