Liverpool Transfer News: Piotr Zielinski Interest Confirmed, Latest Reds Rumours
Udinese have confirmed Liverpool want their rising midfield starlet Piotr Zielinski.
The Italian club's sporting director Cristiano Giaretta told Italian radio station Radio Punto Zero the Reds have a firm interest in attracting the Pole—currently on loan at Empoli—to Anfield. He said (h/t Alex Harris of the Daily Star):
"There is interest from Liverpool and it is concrete interest. He is doing very well and has the eyes of the Premier League on him."

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has displayed his potential during his current loan spell, scoring four goals and providing six assists in 31 appearances in Serie A, proving himself to be one of Italian football's breakout youngsters.
He would offer a creative option at the heart of manager Jurgen Klopp's midfield, but the presence of Brazilian duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino could stunt his game time for the German boss.
Here is a video showing the player in recent action:
James Milner was recruited by former boss Brendan Rodgers to fill the gap left by Steven Gerrard when he left for Major League Soccer, but Zielinski is a better match for Klopp's philosophy in the centre.
Zielinski would have been a perfect fit for Klopp's Borussia Dortmund side, and he would seamlessly slot into the manager's tactics at Liverpool.

Klopp's rebuilding of Liverpool will begin in earnest in the summer, and with the chance of a European trophy within the German's grasp, his first season in charge has provided a much-needed boost for the sleeping giants.
Pundit Thierry Henry told Sky Sports he believes Liverpool will compete for the Premier League title next season (h/t Liam Corless of the Mirror):
"Jurgen Klopp likes to play a certain way and 'intensity' is the word that I will use for him... Next season they [Liverpool] will challenge for the title I think under Klopp."
Liverpool's league position remains problematic for the club, but success in the UEFA Europa League will see the Reds qualify for the UEFA Champions League next term.
Zielinski is the type of player Klopp loves to have at his disposal, with a rounded skill set and dribbling capabilities, and the opportunity to arrive in the Premier League will be tempting for the Polish star.
