NHL Playoffs 2016: TV Schedule, Live Stream Guide for Friday's Stanley Cup Games
The Philadelphia Flyers have been in this position before.
It's not one that engenders a lot of confidence, but it is one that they have succeeded from in the past.
The Flyers are trailing the Presidents' Trophy-winning Washington Capitals 3-1, with their only win coming in the fourth game of the series. The Flyers were badly outplayed in the first three games of the series, but they put in a full 60-minute effort in registering a 2-1 win against a surprisingly sleepy Capitals team in Game 4.

Philadelphia head coach Dave Hakstol said his team was not trying to get back in the series.
"We're not too worried about digging out of a 3-0 hole," he said to the media after the game. "We came here today to win a hockey game."

The most likely scenario is the Capitals will come up with a strong effort on home ice and close out the series with a decisive win. However, the Flyers are one of the few teams that have been in an 0-3 situation before and come back to win.
Six years ago, the Flyers fell in a deep, dark 3-0 hole against the Boston Bruins. When the Bruins tied up Game 4 of that series on a late goal by Mark Recchi, it seemed it would be just a matter of time before the Bruins won the game in overtime.
Instead, the Flyers scored late in the extra period, and that victory propelled the Flyers to a monstrous comeback. They tied the series at 3-3 and found a way to win the seventh game, even though they faced a 3-0 deficit in that game.
The 2010 Bruins were a strong team, but they were not as powerful as this year's Capitals. Washington has plenty of strength up front in Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov and T.J. Oshie, along with a dynamic crew on the blue line led by John Carlson.
They may be strongest of all in goal, where Braden Holtby is a prime Vezina Trophy candidate.
It's clear the Flyers have their work cut out for them. They have a slew of weapons themselves, led by Claude Giroux, Wayne Simmonds and Jakub Voracek up front and rookie defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere firing away from the blue line.
They also have a history of coming from behind. They are a long way from pulling off another miracle, but if they can win Game 5, they will certainly make the Capitals sweat.

The other Eastern Conference series, between the Florida Panthers and New York Islanders, returns to South Florida with the teams tied 2-2.
The Islanders won Games 1 and 3, but they have struggled when it comes to winning back-to-back playoff games. They haven't done it this year and they couldn't do it last year against the Washington Capitals.
The Islanders played with speed and decisiveness in their Game 3 victory over the Panthers, but they looked rather disinterested in Game 4 on Wednesday night, a 2-1 loss.
Coach Jack Capuano must get a much better effort from his team if the Islanders are going to pick up their second road victory of the series.
The Islanders have been struggling to score in this series, but Capuano is unlikely to change his line combinations.
The Islanders also have their own history to overcome. They have lost 11 consecutive times in Game 5, according to Lighthouse Hockey. They have not won a Game 5 confrontation since they beat the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1987 division semifinals.
The Panthers could be tough to beat in this game. They are the bigger and stronger team, and they have gotten tremendous leadership from Reilly Smith, who has already scored four goals and eight points in the series.
The Panthers could wear down the Islanders, but New York has plenty of its own weapons, including John Tavares, Kyle Okposo and Frans Nielsen.
The Islanders must use their quickness and creativity if they are going to secure a 3-2 lead in this series and earn their first Game 5 win for 29 years.
