Cardinals' Randal Grichuk Snatches Anthony Rizzo's Would-Be Home Run

The St. Louis Cardinals giveth, and the St. Louis Cardinals taketh away.

When the Chicago Cubs' Anthony Rizzo got the better of pitcher Carlos Martinez, smashing what would have been a two-run homer to deep left-center field, he likely presumed he'd be taking a jog. 

But Randal Grichuk had other plans. 

The Cardinals center fielder never gave up on Rizzo's soaring hit, pursuing it to the wall, where with a powerful vertical surge, he plucked the would-be score before it cleared the fence—simultaneously dashing fantasy baseball hopes in the process.

So close, but so far.
