Preston Parker Arrested: Latest Details, Mugshot and More

Mike ChiariApr 19, 2016

Former NFL wide receiver Preston Parker was arrested Monday night in Boynton Beach, Florida, on charges of marijuana possession and resisting arrest.

According to Lulu Ramadan of the Palm Beach Post, police said the 29-year-old was the subject of a traffic stop for illegally tinted windows. He then allegedly threw a bag containing marijuana out the window.

Ramadan provided a look at Parker's mugshot on Twitter:

This marks the second time Parker has been arrested in the past month, as he was previously taken into custody in Palm Beach County, Florida, and charged with cocaine possession, using or displaying a firearm during a felony and destroying evidence.

Per Ramadan, Parker is currently being held without bail due to the outstanding nature of the previous charges against him.

Parker spent five seasons in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants after a standout collegiate career at Florida State.

He was released by the Giants last season after appearing in just two games and recording five catches for 43 yards.

His best NFL campaign came in 2011 with the Bucs when he reeled in 40 receptions for 554 yards and three touchdowns.

Parker is currently a free agent, and an NFL return in the near future seems unlikely considering his current legal issues.

The Delray Beach, Florida, native is scheduled for a bond hearing Tuesday, according to Ramadan, but it is unclear when he will be formally charged.
