Latest on Arda's Playing Status

Wednesday, April 20

Barcelona confirmed the Turkey international would travel with the squad to the Riazor.

Barca in Need of a Boost

With the Blaugrana in horrid form at the moment—having lost their last three La Liga games in succession—manager Luis Enrique will need a full cast to take on Deportivo.

Arda hasn’t been a regular player in the first team since debuting for the club in January. However, with some members of the squad looking a little jaded lately, you have to wonder if Enrique might ponder mixing things up between now and the end of the campaign, potentially giving the 29-year-old a chance.

A full-tilt Arda could provide a big boost to Barcelona, as they've been lacking recently in terms of industry. He could also add some bite off the ball, and given he sat out long spells of the campaign, some fresh legs, too.
