Khalif Barnes Arrested: Latest Details, Reaction on Former Raiders OL
On Monday, police authorities said free-agent offensive lineman Khalif Barnes was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, per Kimberly Veklerov of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Sergeant J.D. Nelson noted the California Highway Patrol took Barnes to Santa Rita Jail and later released him after he had sobered up, according to Veklerov.
A second-round pick in 2005, Barnes spent the last seven seasons with the Oakland Raiders after spending the first four years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

This is not the first time Barnes has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. In 2006, while a member of the Jaguars, he was charged with driving under the influence while going faster than 100 miles per hour.
Barnes has started 117 games in his career and just played out a one-year contract extension that he signed in 2014.
