Chris Colabello took an 87 mph fastball to the helmet on Sunday, and the Boston Red Sox pitcher who dealt it gave the Toronto Blue Jays first baseman a little something to ease the pain: a bottle of liquor.
Colabello showed the gift off on Monday after finding it next to his locker in the away clubhouse at Fenway Park, according to the Associated Press (h/t NBC Sports).
"Steven [Wright] decided that he was going to send over a gift," Colabello said, via the report. "He didn’t have to. I’m sure that’s not cheap, too."
