Chicago 3, St. Louis 2 (Series tied at 1-1)

The Chicago Blackhawks took Game 2 of their Western Conference first-round series against the St. Louis Blues among plenty of controversy.

The host Blues appeared to take the lead with 7:46 remaining in the game, but Vladimir Tarasenko's goal was ruled no good after Jori Lehtera was ruled offside in the approach into the attacking zone. The call was made during a coaches challenge from Chicago's Joel Quenneville.

Chicago pulled into the lead with 4:20 left on the clock as Andrew Shaw tapped in a shot from close range on a power play. The play went to review, but to the dismay of the fans inside the Scottrade Center, the call stood. The Blackhawks added a late empty-net goal to secure their first road win of the postseason.

The Blues were able to score in the final seconds of the contest through a Kevin Shattenkirk slapshot, but it was too little, too late for the home team.

Chicago and St. Louis will renew their series on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET at the United Center.
