Josh Gordon Reportedly Failed NFL-Issued Drug Test in March
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon's reinstatement has been delayed after he reportedly failed another drug test in March, according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports. Gordon was suspended for the entire 2015 season for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
Garafolo reported Monday that Gordon tested positive for both marijuana and dilute, according to his source, who added that "both the 'A' and 'B' samples collected were positive for marijuana and dilute. Though the level of marijuana was below the 35 nanograms per milliliter required for a positive test, the diluted sample is considered a positive test."
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com confirmed Gordon had failed a drug test and added that he does not expect an "immediate reaction" from the Browns.

However, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported Tuesday that Gordon is looking into how the information was made public:
"As of [Tuesday morning], the NFL Players Association and representatives for [Gordon] were discussing the possibility of seeking an investigation regarding the leaks of confidential information that have occurred over the past two days. PFT has now learned that Gordon wants something more than discussions. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Gordon's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, is pursuing with the NFL Players Association a potential investigation.
"
The Browns had been sensing for weeks that Gordon wouldn't be reinstated "anytime soon," according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. The NFL had "concerns" with who Gordon was associating with, per La Canfora.
Gordon tweeted an apparent reaction to the news:
"Smh..
— Flash Gordon (@JOSH_GORDONXII) April 11, 2016"
"Call me if u need a real story worth writing..
— Flash Gordon (@JOSH_GORDONXII) April 11, 2016"
Gordon, 24, applied for reinstatement in February and was eligible to be reinstated within 60 days. But, per Garafolo, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell—who hasn't yet reviewed Gordon's case—wasn't required to make a decision in that time frame.
On Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN, citing a league source, reported Gordon's potential reinstatement "will be delayed until [the] NFL feels comfortable he has 60-90 days of no red-flag tests." Schefter added that "if all goes well" and Gordon "stays clean," the wideout could be reinstated for the 2016 season.
So the failed test isn't a guarantee the league will suspend Gordon for another season. But as Chris Burke of Sports Illustrated noted, it did suspend Dion Jordan for the entirety of the 2015 season for a diluted sample.
And Michael Silver of NFL.com doesn't believe Gordon will be reinstated in the near future:
Gordon's indefinite suspension has delayed what appeared to be a promising career after he dominated the NFL in 2013, catching 87 passes for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games during his second season. But he's already been suspended three times for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
His suspension is also a blow to a Cleveland Browns offense largely devoid of game-changing players, especially after the team's top wideout last year, Travis Benjamin, signed with the San Diego Chargers in free agency. While it was never guaranteed that the Browns would keep Gordon upon his reinstatement, there is no questioning his immense talent and potential should he stay out of trouble.
