Former MLB Player Luis Jimenez Faceplants During HR Trot in Korean Game

Kyle NewportApr 10, 2016

A home run trot is a time when a player can take his time rounding the bases as everyone applauds him for helping the team.

Of course, having all eyes on you isn't always a good thing. It's impossible to hide an embarrassing blooper in that scenario, as Luis Jimenez of the LG Twins (Korean Baseball Organization) found out.

After lining a two-run shot over the left field wall, Jimenez—who spent parts of last season with the Milwaukee Brewers and Boston Red Sox—broke out his home run trot. The first 270 feet went well, but he had trouble with the last stretch.

Nothing like face-planting in front of thousands of people.

Fortunately, Jimenez was able to shake off his gaffe and make it to home plate to complete the home run, cutting his team's deficit to one run.
