Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Alvaro Morata, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Rumours
Juventus director Beppe Marotta believes striker Alvaro Morata favours a stay with Juventus over a move back to Real Madrid―and subsequent sale to Arsenal. Meanwhile, Manchester City are the latest club linked with Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whom Manchester United and the Gunners are also watching.
Speaking to Mediaset Premium (h/t Football Italia), Marotta confirmed Juventus are working on keeping Morata in Turin, and the player has made it clear that would be his preference as well:
"The objective is to bring him home definitively and a lot depends on Real Madrid. On Tuesday Real have a very important Champions League game with Wolfsburg and that result could influence future situations.
I think it’s a little premature to talk about it. I do believe Morata will have a strong influence on the decisions made by Real Madrid and Juventus.
Alvaro has shown on more than one occasion that he wants to continue with us and that works in our favour.

Real sold the Spain international to the Bianconeri in 2014 but included a buy-back clause in the deal, set to become active this summer. Per the report, Los Blancos could bring Morata back with an eye on selling him on to Arsenal.
The 23-year-old's future has been a hotly debated topic for months. After his breakout 2014-15 season, Morata has taken on a smaller role in Turin during the current campaign, with Mario Mandzukic becoming the regular starter alongside Paulo Dybala.

Morata went on a lengthy scoreless streak, which played a big part in the decision, but he's come back to life in recent weeks and played a phenomenal match against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. Fans and pundits alike watched him run right through the Bavarian defence, and it reignited the transfer talk.
Here's a look at some of his highlights:
Prior to his scoreless streak and demotion, Morata appeared destined to stay with Juventus. While Real have the clause, Morata has to sign off on any decision Los Blancos make. With Karim Benzema's firm hold on the starting position in Madrid, it was unlikely Morata would return.
But with Mandzukic playing more minutes in the 2015-16 campaign, things are less clear. Arsenal's reported interest adds yet another wrinkle―Morata might fancy a move to north London, knowing he'd have a good chance of beating Olivier Giroud for the starting position at the Emirates Stadium.
Per Cadena Cope (h/t Football Italia), Morata has already called on Real to shed some light on his future, an indication he's growing impatient with not knowing what comes next. All of this plays in Juventus' favour, and it's easy to see why Marotta likes his team's chances of keeping the Spaniard at the club.
Meanwhile, French outlet Le10 Sport (h/t Daily Star's Luke Gardener) claims future Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has told the club Aubameyang will be his main transfer target this summer.
The Gabon international has been among the top forwards across Europe all season long, and DW Sports shared his scoring numbers recently, which are nothing short of amazing:
Aubameyang will be among the most coveted players this summer, although Dortmund are expected to do everything possible to keep him at the Signal Iduna Park. Per Gardener, they've already suggested it will take a £78 million or £95 million offer before the club will even discuss a move.
Here's why they value him so highly:
While the premier League's top sides seem set to battle it out for the 26-year-old, Aubameyang has already revealed Real Madrid is his dream club and he hopes to play at the Bernabeu one day, per L'Equipe (h/t AS' Carlos Forjanes).
While that doesn't mean a move to the Premier League is impossible, it does make it less likely. Aubameyang surely has the quality to make an impact for Los Blancos, so if he does become available, expect Real to throw their name into the hat.
