Anthony Joshua didn't hang around in taking the IBF heavyweight title from Charles Martin on Saturday.

In front of a sold-out crowd at the O2 Arena in London, home favourite Joshua stopped his previously unbeaten opponent in Round 2.

The quick win means he becomes a world champion in just his 16th pro fight.

On the undercard, Jamie McDonnell and Lee Selby successfully defended the WBA bantamweight and IBF featherweight belts respectively.

McDonnell wore down late replacement Fernando Vargas, stopping the Mexican in Round 9, while Selby had to climb off the canvas to beat American Eric Hunter on points.
