Jay Wright Calmly Watches as Kris Jenkins Hits Game-Winner vs. UNC
Villanova Wildcats head coach Jay Wright had every reason to go nuts when Kris Jenkins drilled a game-winning three-pointer as time expired during Monday's 77-74 national championship game triumph.
But the suave basketball boss didn't let one of the greatest shots in title game history strip his face of its stoic expression.
“I always say, ‘Bang!’ in my head whenever we take a shot,” Wright said, discussing his reaction with Nicole Auerbach of USA Today. “I can’t believe I actually said it out loud.”

When Jenkins' shot found the twine, Wright calmly worked his way up the sideline and refused to crack a smile as the Wildcats captured their first NCAA title since 1985.
But with the 31-year drought over, Wright can beam all the way back to Philadelphia as Villanova gets set to celebrate in the City of Brotherly Love.
