Triple H vs. Roman Reigns: Preview, Odds and Prediction for WWE WrestleMania 32
Triple H and Roman Reigns are headed for perhaps the most unanticipated main event in WrestleMania history. Reigns is not over despite all of the work that WWE has done for him. Triple H is actually babying out as a result, throwing off the heel/face dynamic of the rivalry itself.
To say that this one is a tough sell is a massive understatement.
Many surely believed that The Game would be enough to finally get Roman over the hump. He is one of the best in WWE history and considered a legend by fans around the world. If anyone could step in and make a positive impact on Roman Reigns, it's Triple H.

The fact that Hunter is the driving force behind NXT only reinforced the notion that he was the solution to Roman's problem.

If Reigns is indeed the future, then Triple H would be the perfect advocate for him. Why not use him as a means to an end for Roman's career?
But the move has backfired, and now Reigns is firmly in the John Cena position: He's got too much company support to turn heel but not enough positive fan support to remain face.
To its credit, WWE has tried to remedy the situation.
Roman has been attacked, he's been bloodied and he even went on the offensive and left Triple H flat on his back. But no matter what he does, nothing has fixed the problem. Now WWE is rolling into 'Mania with a main event world title match that a great number of fans don't want to see.
The Game is not enough to make it work, and neither is the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Odds Shark puts the odds in Roman's favor, and his impending win will probably not make anyone too happy; neither will the reign he will likely enjoy as the new top guy.

But what could make this match work? What could WWE do in terms of giving the crowd something unexpected, something entertaining?
The straightforward pin is not the answer. Too many already expect Roman to cleanly beat Triple H; they believe it's the only way to ensure Reigns finally gets over. Triple H could have a hugely positive effect on Roman, but only if he does job in the middle of the ring with an unassisted three-count.
So why do the unexpected?
Why not find a way to turn Roman heel on The Grandest Stage of Them All? Reigns is so close to immortality, so close to realizing his dreams; imagine if he was stopped right as he was about to realize them.
The Rock is going to be at 'Mania, and considering their family bond, it's safe to assume he could be involved in Roman's match. If the referee goes down and The Dudley Boyz run in to attack Reigns, then Rock could come in to make the save.

But if The Rock cost Roman the win, then The Samoan Superman could decide to snap.
Batman vs. Superman could play out on the WrestleMania stage. Roman would undoubtedly take out his aggression on his cousin, leaving Rock for dead in the middle of the ring. The heel turn that so many want for him would happen, and he would be on his way to battling his own blood, possibly at Extreme Rules.
Then there's the other 'Mania main event, Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker.
What if that match gets tied into this one? If 'Taker loses, then Shane gets control of Monday Night Raw. Vince may be confident in The Deadman to win but could take some serious steps to ensure that victory.
Why not make a deal with Reigns?
Vince could send someone to the ring during the title match to give Roman an assist. That assist could even happen while Roman's back is turned, so he supposedly doesn't know he's taking advantage of the situation when he turns back to spear Triple H.
Roman gets the win, while the commentators can claim the new champ didn't know he had backup.
To repay the favor, Reigns can interfere in Shane's match and cause 'Taker to go down in the end. Undertaker has technically worked his last match in WWE, but there would be no stopping him from getting revenge on Roman, setting up the company's next top feud.
Despite how it happens, Reigns is likely winning it all on April 3. WWE wants him on top, and the pieces have been moved into place to make it happen. Beating Triple H in the middle of the ring will go a long way toward building Reigns as WWE's new No. 1 guy.
This is likely the outcome WWE believes should happen, which means nothing can stop it now, even if fans don't want to see it happen.
