WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for March 28

Ryan DilbertMar 28, 2016

On the March 28 edition of WWE Raw, it's time to lay the final bricks of the road to WrestleMania 32.

Undertaker and Shane McMahon are bound to add wrinkles to their already messy tale. Roman Reigns and Triple H's blood is set to be on display. Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose will get one more chance to weaken each other before their No Holds Barred Street Fight at WrestleMania.

The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, will play host to all those showdowns as WWE looks to complete the WrestleMania card.

Just who will be healthy enough to compete? Who is set to make a return to Raw? Backstage injury reports help answer those questions.

The hints offered in the Raw preview on WWE.com, as well as a look at the direction of current storylines, serve as crystal balls for what else to expect on the go-home Raw.

News, Potential Spoilers

The League of Nations should be back at full strength. After missing last week's Raw and the house show circuit over the weekend, Alberto Del Rio is set to return.

"Del Rio will be back at TV tomorrow. He's on a limited date deal and also has been resting a bad back," Dave Meltzer wrote on F4WOnline.com. Mexico's Greatest Export also tweeted that he is now back on the road with the company:

The Miz will be in Brooklyn too, despite speculation about him being injured. While competing in a match against Jack Swagger at a live event in Richmond, Virginia, over the weekend, The Miz looked to be favoring his knee, as seen on several fan reports, including ones from Wrestling Inc and Wrestle Zone.

However, The Miz tweeted that he's just fine:

Luke Harper can't the same, unfortunately. After going down in pain during last Monday's post-Raw dark match, it looks as if the big man is seriously hurt.

PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson reported, "The word making the rounds backstage at the WWE Madison Square Garden event is that Luke Harper's knee injury is worse than originally feared and he is now expected out for five to six months."

Another wrestler on the disabled list may be making a surprise appearance on Raw. In addition to a stacked lineup, "Nikki Bella is also slated to be at the taping," as Johnson reported for PWInsider.com.

All the heavy hitters on the WrestleMania card will be in Brooklyn, with or without her.

James Caldwell noted for PWTorch that Undertaker, Shane McMahon, Lesnar, Vince McMahon and Triple H are among those advertised for Monday's Raw.

Home Stretch of WrestleMania Build

The WrestleMania card is nearly complete, but one challenge remains unanswered. Last Monday, AJ Styles called out Chris Jericho, asking for a showdown at The Show of Shows.

Jericho, though, made it clear in a backstage interview that he would rather sit out WrestleMania than take on Styles.

Expect that situation to be addressed in Brooklyn. Styles is bound to find a way to persuade his foe to battle him once more.

Another match expected to be added to the mix is a five-on-five clash between a Lana-led crew and some of the women from the Total Divas cast.

Lana, Emma, Summer Rae and Team B.A.D have joined forces and collided with the babyfaces of the division. That has Natalya, Alicia Fox, Paige and Brie Bella primed for a spot at WrestleMania, but at a numbers disadvantage.

The WWE.com preview hinted at that squad finding a partner to combat that. It reads, "Will the reality TV stars find a new ally to even the odds? If so, who will it be?"

Much of the focus of Monday's Raw, though, promises to be on hyping WrestleMania's two marquee matches: Reigns vs. Triple H and Shane-O-Mac vs. Undertaker.

Brutality has defined the former feud. Each collision between these rivals has led to an unsettling beatdown, with Reigns last pounding the WWE champ in the front seat of his car.

Count on them squaring off again ahead of WrestleMania. The Raw preview reads, "Six nights before that anticipated Show of Shows main event, Reigns and Triple H will cross paths in Brooklyn."

With Undertaker vs. McMahon, the big story is that Vince McMahon added a high-stakes stipulation to their bout last week. If The Deadman loses at WrestleMania, it will be his last.

How that affects each man's mindset before their battle is certain to get some airtime. The Raw preview asked, "How will both combatants respond to The Chairman's bombshell announcement Monday night?"

Monday's Raw should also give a strong indication as to whether that match or the WWE title bout will be WrestleMania's true main event. Whichever clash the company intends to headline The Showcase of the Immortals is likely to be the one featured last on Raw.

And with such little time left before the marquee event, one would assume that WWE finally tells us what The Rock's role will be that night.
