20 Things I Learned in Week 3 of The NFL

• This game is why Favre came back. He got a little lucky. He did well to avoid a sack and knew he was about to get sacked. But that was more of a hail mary tight spiral to that spot. Since he sold his next life to be a 300 pound encycolpedia salesman, the powers above got that ball to the only place it could have been placed.

• The catch was unfreaking real! Lewis jumps up in the air and just happens to have his left foot land within inches of the line. I think it's the catch of the year. If he wore a bigger shoe, Favre is talking about how they let that game slip away.

• Do you ever get lucky sometimes and bowl three strikes in a row? That's Denver. Denver is still the luckiest 3-0 team in the league. A lucky bounce against Cincinnati, beat the Browns and the Raiders.

• Write it down in Sharpie, blood, or grape juice on anything white. JaMarcus Russell is an overweight #1 pick bust.

• I think Baltimore is the best team in the league right now. They can run the ball, Flacco slings it around like Tony Romo wishes he could and their defense can still make big plays. 3-0 and at New England next week. AFC Playoff preview?
  

• There are so many teams that are worse than that nagging, psychotic girlfriend E had in "Entourage". The Browns, Rams, Raiders, Redskins, KC, Bucs could all be put into a raffle and select one as the worst team in the league.

• Rookie Bucs QB Josh Freeman had 4 completions for 36 yards in the fourth quarter. Starter Byron Leftwich had 7 completions for 22 yards in the first three quarters. Fail.

• Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson combined for 116 yards and four interceptions. Double fail.

• JaMarcus Russell threw for 61 yards and zero TD's. Fat fail.

• Jason Campbell threw for 340 yards and 2 TD's and lost to the Lions. Ford Field fail.
  

• I wonder if a NFL head coach will be fired first or a new TV show be cancelled this season. 

• Drew Brees did not throw a TD since week seven of last season and they still won 27-7. That's scary.

• Terrell Owens had zero catches and they lost. That's about right.

• Kerry Collins needs to be benched. This was the second week he's turned the ball over to lose the game. The Titans are 0-3 and need to do something. Run Lendale White in the wildcat. It doesn't matter. By now they have nothing to lose.

• Steelers had no right to lose against Cincinnati but giving up TWO 4th down conversions on that last drive usually does it. They are not the same team after losing Mr. Head and Shoulders.

• The Cardinals are really bad on defense and the offensive line. Warner had no time to throw the ball. The offensive line needed to have swine flu, sneezing and wiping their hands with their snot. Then maybe protection would have been better.

• I believe in the Jets now. So much about that talk about a letdown game against the Titans. I like what Rex Ryan has done to that team and defense.

• The hype about Vick's first game back was so anti-climatic. I'm glad he didn't do anything because they'd keep talking about his performance.
  

• If I ever bet against Peyton Manning on primetime, please send someone over to give me ten lashings with a cane.

• Week 3 is already done? So fast. Too fast.
