WWE's Top Stories, Rumors and Buzz for Week of March 19

The Doctor Chris MuellerMar 19, 2016

WrestleMania 32 is fast approaching. The event will take place April 3, but that's not the only thing happening that weekend.

We also have NXT TakeOver: Dallas and the Hall of Fame ceremony scheduled to take place, so it will be a busy time for the men and women of WWE.

Let's take a look at some of the bigger stories from the past seven days.

Hulk Hogan Wins Major Settlement

Hulk Hogan has been involved in a lawsuit against gossip site Gawker because it published a portion of a taped sexual encounter between Hogan and Heather Clem, then the wife of radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge.

Well, the verdict is in, and The Hulkster has been award $115 million, which is $15 million more than he was originally seeking.

Both Hogan and Gawker Media founder Nick Denton posted the following statements about the verdict on Twitter:

Since Gawker will be looking to appeal the decision, it could be a long time before Hogan sees a dime, but he has to be feeling a sense of relief knowing the worst part of this ordeal is behind him.

New Matches for TakeOver: Dallas and WrestleMania 32

During this week's episodes of NXT and SmackDown, new matches were confirmed for TakeOver: Dallas and WrestleMania 32.

Kalisto will defend the U.S. Championship against Ryback and The New Day will face The League of Nations in a handicap match at WrestleMania.

We will also see Asuka challenge Bayley for the NXT Women's Championship and American Alpha will take on The Revival for the NXT Tag Team Championships at TakeOver.

Both events have the potential to be great shows. WrestleMania weekend is going to be busy. In addition to both of those events, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place, with Sting headlining the inductions.

With SmackDown on Thursday and Raw on Monday, we will have five straight days with roughly 17 hours of wrestling-related content. We'll all need a break once the mayhem is over.

NBC Universal and Dish Network in Dispute

Anyone who saw this week's Raw and SmackDown may have noticed a message scrolling across the top of the screen with some bad news for Dish Network subscribers.

It appears NBCUniversal, which owns the USA Network, and Dish are not on the best of terms, and if things aren't solved, subscribers to the satellite service may find themselves without the ability to watch weekly WWE programming.

Numerous WWE Superstars have taken to Twitter to encourage fans to contact Dish in order to voice their opinions on the matter.

These things can happen when an agreement expires and a new deal cannot be reached. Networks often threaten to stop broadcasting to a provider in order to gain leverage.

If the NBC blackout does end up happening, fans of WWE who subscribe to Dish Network may have to switch television providers in order to see their favorite Superstars and Divas mix it up.

However, these things usually end up being solved before anything can happen, so let's hope an agreement is reached so we can all keep watching Raw and SmackDown on a weekly basis.

Sting Possibly Retiring

TMZ has reported Sting may have to retire because of the neck injury he has been getting treatment for since he faced Seth Rollins at Night of Champions in September.

That would be unfortunate, but if Sting does hang up his boots in the near future, he can go into the WWE Hall of Fame knowing he had one of the greatest careers in pro wrestling history.

As the heart and soul of WCW, Sting carried the company through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

He was an integral part of the nWo angle, and he was one of the few people who never jumped ship between WCW and WWE during the Monday Night Wars.

If he does plan on retiring, he would likely make the announcement during his Hall of Fame induction WrestleMania weekend.

Neville Injured on Raw

Neville battled Chris Jericho on Raw this past week, and anyone who saw the match would've noticed the moment when he injured his ankle during a baseball slide.

The injury led to a premature ending, and The Man Gravity Forgot had to be helped to the back so he didn't put weight on the injured leg.

This means Neville will miss WrestleMania, which is unfortunate as it looked like he was going to end up in the chase for the Intercontinental Championship.

WWE.com posted a video of Neville being informed his ankle was fractured. Dr. Chris Amann also gave an interview stating Neville will not require surgery to fix the problem.

"

Neville had some repeat testing done in Orlando which included X-Rays and a CAT scan of his ankle. Upon further review, it has been determined that surgical repair of the ankle would not be necessary. Instead, he will be treated nonoperatively with a cast and crutches. The estimated return for this type of fracture is usually two to three months.

Mexican Restaurant Uses John Cena's Image

In what is quite possibly the strangest story of the week, it appears a restaurant has popped up in Mexico called John Cena Burger and Taco.

In case you were thinking this is a weird coincidence and some other John Cena happened to open a restaurant, you can see in the photographs on the restaurant's Foursquare page there is a huge sign bearing Cena's image on top of the building.

Smaller places such as this will often name items after celebrities, so there's probably a Cena Colada or something similarly creative on the menu.

Let's have a little fun. What Cena-related menu items can you come up with?
