Enzo and Cass' Main-Roster Call-Up Must Wait Until After WWE WrestleMania 32
At Saturday night's WWE Roadblock special on the WWE Network, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady fell short of capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship in their match against The Revival.
Although there was a hope among fans that they would transition into a feud with WWE tag team champions The New Day that same evening, WWE would be wise to instead hold off on officially calling them up to the main roster until after WrestleMania 32.
There is little doubt that Enzo and Cass are ready for the main roster after accomplishing all there is do in NXT. Granted, they were never given a run with the tag titles, but that ship seemed to have sailed when they failed to win them at NXT TakeOver: London back in December and again at Roadblock.

They have been a part of the developmental system for several years now and have been teaming together since 2013. Despite not once holding the twin titles, they feuded with the likes of Blake and Murphy, The Vaudevillians and most recently The Revival.
Now, they look to set their sights on conquering WWE's tag team division. They will be a welcome addition to the stagnant tag team scene on Raw and SmackDown, but not until after The Show of Shows has come and gone.

As of this writing, no WWE Tag Team Championship match has been announced for WrestleMania 32. It's believed that The New Day will face The Usos, The Dudley Boyz, The League of Nations or perhaps all three in some sort of multi-team matchup at 'Mania.
Needless to say, The New Day has been the saving grace of WWE programming for the last year and thus deserves to be prominently positioned on the star-studded card. This would be a refreshing change from the tag title match traditionally being placed on the pre-show.
That said, where would Enzo and Cass fit into the equation right now? New Day vs. Enzo and Cass has the potential to be comedy gold, but with three weeks until WrestleMania, there wouldn't be enough time to properly build the bout.
WWE must tread lightly with The Realest Guys in the Room once they grace the main roster. Their connection with the crowd should get them over with the audience in no time, but it all depends on how they are handled.
Look no further than Tyler Breeze. From his unique look to his excellent in-ring ability and relevant character, he had all the tools to become a big-time midcard competitor on the main roster, but bad booking and improper introduction of his gimmick caused him to flop miserably.
Enzo and Cass could suffer something similar if they are portrayed as being on the level of The Ascension or Los Matadores. They're an extremely entertaining duo, sure, but that doesn't mean they should be relegated to being a comedy act.
While they aren't the strongest workers, they can more than hold their own against a competent team. Their stellar series of matches with The Revival proved how great they can be if paired with the right opponents.
WWE's tag team division is currently stacked with talent, but it's also in desperate need of a massive shakeup. Turning The Dudley Boyz heel last month was a step in the right direction, but fresh blood is a must as well.
Simply put, Enzo and Cass are the solution. As noted, a program with New Day has the potential to be phenomenal, but working with The Dudley Boyz would also solidify them as stars straight from the get-go.
The post-WrestleMania edition of Raw is typically the time of year WWE calls up top prospects from NXT, and one can only imagine the raucous reaction Enzo and Cass would receive if they made their main-roster debuts on that historic night, as they should.
