WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for March 7
The New Day may give way to new tag team champions on Monday's WWE Raw.
With WWE Roadblock on the way and WrestleMania 32 just further on the horizon, the loudmouth, dance-happy titleholders face a daunting challenge. Whether they can hold on to the gold or have to watch as their opponents implode, The Show of Shows' card is bound to continue to take shape.
Chicago's Allstate Arena will host what promises to be a busy edition of Raw. In addition to a tag team title bout, fans will see Shane McMahon step back into the spotlight, Dean Ambrose further antagonize Triple H and the midcard title scenes grow clearer.

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Big questions linger ahead of Monday night. Will WWE continue to hold out Roman Reigns? Will the company showcase Kevin Owens? Is Ryback headed for a push?
Backstage reports, foreshadowing and the Raw preview on WWE.com help provide answers to all that ahead of Monday's Raw.
On Tap
Last week, Chris Jericho and AJ Styles knocked off The New Day in non-title action. As WWE announced that night on Raw, the newly formed pair will now have an opportunity for the Tag Team Championship in Chicago.
If Jericho and Styles continue their recent roll, they could well be tag champs headed into WrestleMania.
One has to wonder, though, if WWE has something else in mind for the duo. The partnership may come to a sudden halt, allowing Styles and Jericho's feud to resume. Or else, Styles may go off on his own and find a new entry point into WrestleMania.
With The New Day and The League of Nations involved in the most tepid of feuds, fans can't count out the possibility of Sheamus and Company making an impact on this bout somehow.
Monday's Raw also promises to welcome Shane-O-Mac. With so many unresolved issues involving his upcoming clash with Undertaker, this segment will be critical.
Undertaker's motivation in fighting Vince McMahon's battle for him isn't yet clear. Just what Shane holds over his father has been nebulous.
On last Monday's Raw, Vince talked about disowning his son. It's now Shane's chance to respond and hopefully add clarity to what has been a foggy narrative thus far.
News, Potential Spoilers
Charlotte suffered an injury at a house show on Minneapolis on Friday. The Divas champ started to bleed during her her match with Becky Lynch. Officials stopped the action.
Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline reported, "Charlotte was helped to the back while bleeding from the nose. The only update we have so far is that she is said to be OK." Charlotte then added a note on her status:
Fans may see Ryback's recent change of attitude pay dividends for him. The Big Guy looks to be in the midst of a heel turn, as he has become more aggressive and vicious in the ring. That could be the precursor to a title shot.
At recent house shows, Ryback has been working against Kalisto. F4WOnline's Dave Meltzer wrote, "Ryback is being tabbed at this point to be put in the U.S. title mix."
According to Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Wrestling Inc), Alberto Del Rio will not be facing Kalisto for the title at WrestleMania. Kalisto will reportedly defend the belt in a singles match, though. Whether that ends up being against Ryback remains to be seen.
And in what could be anything from announcing he can return in time for WrestleMania or his being a part of a new TV show down the road, John Cena teased big news on Twitter:
James Caldwell of PWTorch noted that Reigns is among those advertised for Monday's show. The No. 1 contender for the WWE title has been off TV since Triple H busted his nose two weeks ago.
Roadblock/WrestleMania Build
The clash for the Divas Championship at WrestleMania is now officially a Triple Threat after last week's SmackDown. Both Lynch and Sasha Banks are in line for a title shot.
With that now set, it's time for WWE to toy with the narrative leading up to it. That could mean Banks sliding more toward bona fide babyface status or Charlotte showing off just how merciless she is. Whatever the company has planned, it looks as if the Divas title chase will get some focus on Raw.
The WWE.com preview asked, "What twists await these three Divas on The Road to WrestleMania—and what new obstacles will Charlotte place in the path of her challengers?"
As for the Intercontinental Championship scene, it's not clear at all what WWE has planned. Owens has been colliding with Big Show lately, but that matchup doesn't have a WrestleMania-worthy feel to it.

The Raw preview teased that Monday's show will provide some answers, mentioning that Stardust might be a possible contender: "Might The Prizefighter's recent adversary Big Show bring their rivalry to The Grandest Stage of Them All? Or will it be a more unorthodox foe, like Stardust? Perhaps WrestleMania's intercontinental title picture will begin to materialize on Raw."
In addition to building toward WrestleMania, WWE has to also get things in line for the live special Roadblock this weekend. That should mean plenty of airtime for Ambrose and Triple H before their battle for the WWE world title.
Does that mean that Reigns will be kept out of the picture for a touch longer? Or will he find himself thrust into this storyline as Ambrose's cheerleader?
WWE has to get folks psyched for Ambrose vs. Triple H while also adding momentum to Ambrose's WrestleMania showdown with Brock Lesnar. That balancing act will be one of the key things to watch when Raw hits Chicago.
