Dayton Flyers Softball Player Leaps Over Catcher to Avoid Tag, Score Run

It's pretty clear Katie Ryan was meant to be a member of the Dayton Flyers.

In the top of the fourth inning of Friday's game against Mercer, Dayton's Kailee Budicin knocked in two runs with a single. When the throw home arrived at the same time as Ryan, she had no choice but to go airborne as she tried to score from second.

Ryan's athleticism allowed her to avoid the tag and plate another run, extending the Flyers' lead to 7-0.

Dayton went on to win 8-3.
