Cameron Borthwick-Jackson Illness: Latest on Manchester United Defender's Status

Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson suffered an unspecified illness prior to the Feb. 18 Europa League tie against Midtjylland. It is unclear when he will return.

United's Injury Curse Continues

The English giants lost first-choice left-back Luke Shaw to a broken leg earlier in the campaign. Fellow defenders Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia have also all missed chunks of the season because of injury.

Van Gaal has been forced to experiment once again in Borthwick-Jackson's absence, with Daley Blind and Rojo filling the void at left-back.

Even Darmian has been asked to do a job in an unnatural position, highlighting United's need to get key defenders back fit.
