Henry Plays Down Significance of Injury
Tuesday, Feb. 16
It had become apparent during the clash between Henry and Big E that something had gone wrong. Big E had Henry up in position for the Big Ending but abruptly dropped the World's Strongest Man, who immediately clutched his ribs:
Henry confirmed Tuesday he did injure his ribs, tweeting, "Hey guys I'm OK hurt rib I'll live."
The former world champion isn't on the card for Fastlane this Sunday. He has feuded with The New Day over the past two weeks, which could still carry through to the pay-per-view. However, Big E's win seemed to be the end of the short rivalry.
Similarly, Henry isn't yet a part of a storyline that projects to carry through to WrestleMania 32 on April 3, though WWE might plan to include him in a larger match such as the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Given the number of Superstars already out with serious injuries, the fact Henry's rib ailment appears to be minor is good news.
