WWE NXT: Full Preview, Match Card and More for February 17
Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for this week's episode of WWE NXT, where we'll take a spoiler-free look at what's in store for the developmental brand's upcoming episode.
We've got a light card this week with just four bouts, but that is not a bad thing; the fewer matches on the show, the more time each contest gets.
Feuds are always built a little slower in NXT because the show is only an hour long, but with TakeOver: Dallas still several weeks away, storylines have to be stretched out.

Let's take a look at what's on tap for this week's episode of NXT.
The Tag Teams
Eight men will be involved in the only tag team contest of the evening when Jason Jordan, Chad Gable, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady team up to battle Wesley Blake, Buddy Murphy, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder.
Matches like this are always tricky, because WWE has to find a way to let everyone get some time in the ring without having things feel rushed.
These four duos make up the majority of the tag team division in NXT, and each of them brings something completely different to the table. American Alpha focuses on technical ability, Dash and Dawson use their brawling skills, Team BAMF use a lot of quick offense and Amore and Big Cass rely on a lot of theatrics.
Like most eight-man tag matches, we will likely see a lot of big spots to make things more exciting. The only thing on the line in this one is bragging rights, but sometimes that's more than enough.
The Women
Japanese sensation Asuka will be in action this week when she takes on Deonna Purrazzo. There's not much point in speculating who will win this match; the outcome is pretty obvious.
Asuka is beginning to shift her focus toward the Women's Championship. She has an impressive win-loss record going, and it's just a matter of time until she earns a shot at Bayley's title.
It will be interesting to see if Nia Jax and Eva Marie make any kind of appearance after what happened in the main event of last week's show.
As far as Purrazzo is concerned, she is still proving herself to management. She isn't signed to a deal but has appeared enough times to indicate a possible interest from WWE officials. A good performance against someone as talented as Asuka will go a long way toward a contract offer.
The Men
Two singles matches are scheduled for this week. The first will see Tye Dillinger going up against Alex Riley.
Riley is just getting back into the swing of things after being sidelined with an injury for several months. Dillinger, on the other hand, is finally starting to build some momentum. He has picked up a few wins recently, and a victory over someone like Riley could be a sign of a real push for Dillinger on the horizon.
Both of these men would benefit from the win, which makes the outcome a lot less predictable than the average NXT match.
The main event will feature another No. 1 Contender's match between Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe. Baron Corbin has to sit this one out after being defeated by Zayn and Joe at the same time during their Triple Threat match a few weeks ago.
Zayn and Joe are the kind of wrestlers who always try to outdo their last performance, so we can expect a fun, physical encounter.
The winner will earn shot at Finn Balor's NXT Championship at some point in the future, so the stakes are about as high as they can be. They could put on a clinic any day of the week, but it's always a little more intriguing when there is something on the line.
If each match is given enough time, this could be a highly entertaining show. What are you looking forward to on this week's episode of NXT?
