Fenway Park Adds 140-Foot Snow Ramp to Stadium for Big Air Event

Kyle NewportFeb 11, 2016

Fenway Park was built for baseball games, but for the next couple of days, it's going to be put to use for a different sport as the offseason hits the stretch run.

And the legendary Green Monster is going to be overshadowed in a big way.

The historic baseball stadium will be hosting Polartec Big Air at Fenway on Thursday and Friday. To be properly prepared for the U.S. Grand Prix tour event, a 140-foot snow ramp has been constructed in the middle of the Fenway Park field.

Here are some looks at the ramp in action:

There's no word on whether or not David Ortiz has taken batting practice on the field recently and tried to clear the ramp. Big Papi has been known to hit some moonshots, but this would be a challenge even for him.
