Barcelona Transfer News: Riechedly Bazoer Reveals 'Dream' Move, Latest Rumours

Ajax youngster Riechedly Bazoer has described Barcelona as his "dream club," telling of his intention to complete a move to the Camp Nou in the near future. Meanwhile, it's been alleged Real Madrid president Florentino Perez blocked Barca's January move to sign Villarreal midfielder Denis Suarez.

Bazoer told Dutch outlet Helden he plans on moving to Catalonia in the "next two or three years," apparently holding little interest of carving out a long-term future at the Amsterdam Arena (h/t Goal's Peter McVitie):

I hope I can leave in two or three years to my join dream club Barcelona. That tiki-taka style of football suits me. At the moment, I am not scoring enough goals, but I'm working on that. I must become even more important for the team.

My ultimate dream is to pull my car up at Barcelona in five years and win trophies. Hopefully everone knows me by then.

"

Evidently, Bazoer is shooting for the stars, and his aim of joining the reigning champions of Spain, Europe and the world shows he isn't likely to settle for anything but the best in what could be a glittering career.

The 19-year-old broke into the Ajax first team during the second half of the 2014-15 campaign, but it's only this season he's cemented his place as a regular in Frank de Boer's starting XI.

Bazoer has three goals and four assists to his name in 26 starts for the Godenzonen this term, tying down his place in central midfield as Ajax challenge to reclaim the Eredivisie crown. 

Barca may have taken notice of the teenager after he netted a 1-0 winner against Vitesse in January, scoring just 26 seconds after kick-off, which OptaJohan confirmed as Ajax's fastest league strike for 15 years:

Bazoer may find himself in some luck regarding his intention of moving to Barca, considering incumbent Camp Nou playmaker Andres Iniesta turns 32 later this year and may soon need replacing.

Belgian expert Michiel Jongsma also cited Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf and said Ajax rejected an offer from Serie A giants Napoli worth €25 million (£19 million), with Goal stating another €25 million in add-ons was offered:

Meanwhile, Barca manager Luis Enrique was reportedly prevented from bringing Suarez back to the club on deadline day after Perez ensured Villarreal couldn't sign a replacement for the playmaker.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Perez prevented Real winger Denis Cheryshev from joining the Yellow Submarine and instead sent him on loan to Valencia, meaning Suarez couldn't move back to the Camp Nou.

This transpired even though Villarreal were reported to have made the best bid for Cheryshev, showing it may have indeed been a personal preference from Perez that saw the winger steered toward the Mestalla.

It's also mentioned that Barca can still exercise their buyback clause to re-sign former Barcelona B prospect Suarez in the summer, but their recruitment efforts were frustrated by Perez late in the January window.
