Under Armour Announces Global Partnership with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Wrestling champ, actor, philanthropist—and now, Under Armour athlete.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will join high-profile athletes like Cam Newton and Stephen Curry with an official sponsorship from one of the market's emerging athletic brands.

According to the company's press release, Johnson will "work hand in hand with the innovative performance brand to create a range of products across footwear, apparel and accessories as well as support Under Armour's Connected Fitness initiatives."

Johnson will also be involved with UA Freedom, Under Armour's charitable outreach for first responders, public safety officials and servicemen and women.

As for those eager to get their hands on some gear, the wait won't be long. Fans of both the brand and The Rock can expect Under Armour to release a "Rock-inspired" backpack and duffel bag on its site in the coming weeks.
