Sami Zayn Must Stay in NXT Until After WWE WrestleMania 32
Despite many fans calling for Sami Zayn to return to WWE’s main roster now that he is back from a shoulder injury, the best course of action would be leaving him in NXT until several months after WrestleMania 32.
Zayn has too much work left to do in NXT to leave right now.
Over the next three months, NXT is going on tour across the United States, and it would be wise for the brand to keep Zayn on the roster as a major selling point for the shows. Zayn may not be champion, but he is the biggest star in the developmental territory.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
From a storyline perspective, Zayn deserves to be called up to the main roster after the culmination of a long-term program. NXT officials must have something big in mind for a Superstar who has meant so much to the brand. It all starts with what the WWE Universe witnessed Wednesday night.
With Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin interjecting themselves into the NXT Championship scene and Zayn declaring his desire to be the brand's first two-time champion, the Triple Threat match at the end of January to determine the No. 1 contender will be the start of an unforgettable storyline.
With Finn Balor as the face champion looking for a new challenger, the war between Zayn, Joe and Corbin will set the stage for the road to the brand’s biggest show to date, NXT TakeOver: Dallas during WrestleMania weekend in April.
A show on the same weekend as WrestleMania 32 will be huge for NXT, and the event will need a marquee main event. What better way to showcase the best the brand has to offer than by putting Zayn against Balor for the championship?
Two full months of build sounds like a long time in wrestling, but with the overarching storyline supplemented with secondary angles, it could easily stretch to eight weeks of programming.
Eventually, Zayn should defeat Balor, sending the latter to WWE’s main roster for the push he so rightfully deserves as a top face. As the first two-time NXT champion, Zayn would further establish himself as one of the most important men in the history of the brand.
Once WrestleMania season has come and gone and WWE’s main roster reaches an inevitable lull period, that’s when Zayn should be called up to Raw and SmackDown as a surprise. Once he is on the road full time, Zayn could easily drop the title to the top heel at the time, which will likely be Joe or Corbin.
NXT needs Zayn right now, but eventually, the main roster will need him even more. Until then, let’s enjoy the fan favorite being booked correctly.
