Blazers Media Day Links: Day 1

Busta BucketSep 24, 2009

Unfortunately for me, I have a day job that is completely unrelated to the Portland Trail Blazers.  The first media day with staff and coaches went down yesterday, and I was unable to attend.  My only option at this point is to live vicariously through all the guys who make their living covering the Blazers or at least make better choices than me.  Here's what I've been able to gather:

First off, Ben from Blazers Edge gives a summary of the day's events, including excellent still shots of Kevin Pritchard and Nate McMillan.

Casey Holdahl had a ton of good info on his Twitter page including projected starting line-ups, quotes, and here's the live chat he did with Kevin Pritchard.

Sean from Oregon Live has video of Pritchard discussing Andre Miller and his ability to be "the director."

OregonSportsLive.com went nuts with the interviews. Here's KP and Nate, Mo and Monty, Townsend and Prunty. Nice work guys!

Kerry Eggers has an in depth look at the effect Andre Miller has had and will have on the team. It also looks like Steve Blake will begin training camp as the starter. Kerrry also joined Twitter.

Brian T. Smith of The Columbian highlights media day and also blows up Twitter. It's a revolution.

Runyon of Trail Post was at media day twittering and he should have a recap up soon enough.

On a somewhat unrelated note, an article by Chris Chisholm at TSN made it's way into Blazer fans' minds yesterday. This guy seriously hates the Blazers and frankly has no idea what he's talking about. Fairy tale ending? Pshhh, please.
